Meet Maggie.
Maggie started competing in hair contests while in beauty school, and was a member of the USA Student Olympic Hairdressing Team. She would compete by completing certain hair styles or techniques in a given amount of time, always placing! As a professional, she was a member of the educational teams The Innovators and Hair Chicago, and would travel to teach other stylists cuts and techniques.

After owning a salon, and then working from her home for several years, Maggie came across The Salon by the River and felt it was "meant to be" her new work space. She loves working with other beauty professionals again and loves the view.
Maggie is currently unable to take on new clients.

Meet Sue.

One of Sue's favorite things about doing hair is educating her clients on how to care for their hair at home so it looks as great as when they leave her chair. She prides herself on keeping up with new trends and products. She also has many years of experience working with wigs and hair pieces that some people need to due medical reasons or age.
​
Sue is amazing with senior citizen clients and loves the relationships she has created with them over the past 30+ years of doing hair. The Salon by the River is wheelchair and walker accessible, so the elderly are welcome!

Nothing is more rewarding to Sue than seeing a client smile at themselves in her mirror after their hair or waxing service.

Meet Tiffani.
​
I introduced myself to you briefly on the homepage, but in case you missed it, I'm a Certified Nail Technician and Master Pedicurist. I specialize in keeping the natural nail as healthy as possible while creating a beautiful look for each person I work with. I have extensive training and experience working with feet that need extra TLC due to a medical condition, age, or some other issue that can affect feet. I welcome senior citizens for geriatric nail care. I offer the Onyfix nail correction system.

I have been doing nails for about 15 years and took over running The Salon by the River during the pandemic in 2020 (I know I'm crazy right!?!?). It's been great so far!

Meet Meghan.
Nice to meet you, I'm Meghan Quinn. I've been in the hair industry for 12 years, and an independent stylist for the past 11 with a full service salon suite. I specialize in low maintenance colors including bayalage and color melts. I also am certified in hand-tied hair extensions and Keratin treatments.
Practicing self love and self care is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. It is directly correlated to our self esteem. My mission is to create a personalized style that leaves you radiating confidence and self love. Whether you're seeking a subtle, natural change or a bold look, we can achieve your vision together.
